Service Update

Thursday 24th June at 12 noon – Sunday 27th June 2021

To ensure the electrical safety of our buildings, Sefton Council, like all local authorities, has a legal obligation to ensure the safety and integrity of our buildings and systems. As part of this, it is necessary for us carry out an uninterrupted power supply test to St Peter’s House in Bootle. Sefton Council’s data centre is located at St Peter’s House, which means that whilst we conduct this work our servers will be offline / unavailable.

As a result of this urgent maintenance work all Active Sefton facilities will be without vital services to enable them to operate in an efficient, safe and COVID compliant manner so a decision has been taken that the following facilities will be closed on the above dates:-

Bootle Leisure Centre

Dunes Splashworld

Meadows Leisure Centre & Library

Crosby Lakeside

Litherland Sports Park

Netherton Activity Centre

Please note that all pre-booked outdoor activities i.e. football pitches, lake activities, athletics track and cycle track will still be available

As all ICT services will not be available during this period we will be unable to take phone calls or bookings.

All facilities will re-open as normal on Monday 28th June 2021.

We apologise for any inconvenience that the closures may cause and we assure members that there will be no financial detriment as a result.
