Great News,
we are reopening!

Following further clarification from national government, it has been agreed that all Active Sefton Leisure centres will now reopen on Saturday 24th October in line with other tier 3 areas.  The Fitness Suites will open initially, with classes and adult swimming resuming on Monday 26th October.

The announcement comes after Sefton Council Leader Ian Maher, The Metro Mayor, City Mayor and other Liverpool City Region Council leaders asked the Government to conduct an 'immediate review' and asked ministers to provide the scientific evidence for shutting them-down.

We would like to thank all our members for your continued support and patience.

Further updates on the arrangements for direct debits will follow shortly.

Active Sefton Fitness Re-opening
Making Active Sefton Fitness Covid secure

We look forward to welcoming you back!

All members can currently access the gym from Saturday 24th October followed by classes and adult swimming from Monday 26th October.  For information on how to book please click here.

As part of the phased reopening of our Leisure Centres, we are only accepting casual swimmers at this time.  If you wish to book swimming as a casual swim user please phone your chosen centre to do so (telephone numbers can be found by clicking on to our centres tab on this site).

How we are making our Leisure Centres safe for you!

The safety and wellbeing of our members and staff are paramount and we want you to feel safe, comfortable and supported on your return. To ensure we remain COVID compliant, we will continue to keep the extra measures that we have put in place to ensure your safety and allow for you to train with us in confidence.

Here is a reminder on some of the changes you can expect.....

Increased Cleaning Schedules

We have increased  our cleaning schedules to ensure all our centres are kept as clean as possible.

Cleaning & Sanitiser Stations

Stations have been created so you can clean kit before and after use for added peace of mind.

Each of us will play an important role in keeping our centres safe, so we ask that you help us by wiping down all equipment before and after use.

We have introduced an online / phone booking system for gym sessions, swim and class use, with card / contactless payments only.

This will help control numbers in the centre, so it never gets too busy and allows for effective social distancing.

All our staff have been trained on all the new Covid-19 protocols that have been put in place prior to opening, including enhanced cleaning and safety measures.

More space

for you to work out

We’ve created the space you need to work out while keeping a safe distance.

This includes the repositioning of our equipment on the gym floor, introducing floor markings and posters as a reminder to keep a safe distance.

Covid-19 signage

We have introduced directional floor markings and new signage to create a safe flow of movement throughout our centres.

Where possible, we have also created separate entrances and exits to the centres so that it’s easier to keep a safe distance from other users.

Room Space

Additional measures have been put in place to ensure minimal congestion in all our swimming pool changing facilities.

Ventilation in all our centres has been adjusted to meet the guidelines and all our air conditioning units have been serviced.

Now you've seen what changes we've made to ensure the safety of our members and staff, we'd like you to read our new protocols for members so you can do your bit to keep everyone safe...
